Jharkhand Assembly appointment scam – Next hearing in HC now on November 9

Ranchi:  While hearing the suo motu case, the court of Jharkhand High Court Chief Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra and Justice Anand Sen has completely banned the use of bands, musical instruments and loudspeakers from 10 pm to 6 am.

The High Court has directed the government to take serious and strict action to stop noise pollution.

The court gave instructions in this regard to all the Deputy Commissioners of the state and directed the government to present the progress report in this case and scheduled the next hearing on December 5.

The court has said that on the occasion of festivals, under the Noise Pollution Control Rules, relaxation can be given from 10 pm to 12 am, but there will be a ban on its use after 12 midnight.

Along with this, the court has also directed to declare 100 meter radius of hospitals and nursing homes as silent zones.

The court has said that loudspeakers playing in public places should not exceed 10 decibels.

For private places this limit will remain only five decibels.
