Mumbai: Hollywood actor-singer Jennifer Lopez shared a heartfelt Mother’s Day message dedicated to her mother, Guadalupe Rodríguez, thanking her for raising “three independent daughters” and being her biggest source of strength during difficult times.
Lopez posted a series of pictures with her mother on Instagram and wrote an emotional note describing Rodríguez’s vibrant personality and unconditional support.
“Your favorite color is purple. You love pastries and anything sweet. Your laughter lights up the whole room,” Lopez wrote, adding that her mother is the person she turns to whenever she feels lost or afraid.
The actress also opened up about her own journey as a mother, saying the past 18 years have taught her that motherhood comes with emotional highs and lows.
She shared that being a mother means experiencing an incredibly deep connection with one’s children, while at times also feeling heartbreaking emotional distance.
Lopez praised her mother for raising strong, intelligent, and independent daughters despite the challenges, ending the message with: “We love you, Mommy. I cherish you today and every day. Happy Mother’s Day.”
The 56-year-old global star is widely known for breaking barriers for Latino artists in Hollywood and for her influence on music, fashion, and beauty culture.
On the work front, Lopez is preparing for the release of her upcoming romantic comedy Office Romance, directed by Ol Parker and co-starring Brett Goldstein.
