Ranchi: Employees of Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Limited (JBVNL) Ranchi Area Board will protest on August 1 against the neglect of their demands. A worker said, if our demands are not met, then we will go on an indefinite strike. This decision was taken in the meeting chaired by the Jharkhand Power Workers Union.
Union President Ashish Kumar said he met the General Manager (Technical) of Ranchi Electricity Supply Sector several times and kept the demands of promotion of union employees. But till now no cognizance has been taken on this. Rather, the work of hanging the matter has been done by correspondence in the headquarters.
Ashish Kumar said employees are being promoted in all the circles except Ranchi. But the promotion of the personnel here has been pending for years. Corporation headquarters had given guidelines regarding promotion. Despite this, frequent correspondence in the headquarters shows indifference towards the personnel.
Today employees are retiring for the hope of promotion and some are about to retire. In the matter of revenue, the employees of Ranchi Area Board have established a new masterpiece.
