Ranchi: The TB Sanatorium located at Itki will be converted into a dedicated covid hospital as preparations for the same is in the final stages and soon treatment of patients will be done here.
The works to make available oxygen-supported beds, oxygen supply, ventilators and other medical facilities are being arranged at the hospital. In the hospital oxygen supported beds are being prepared and apart from the manifold centralised medical oxygen gas pipeline system is being arranged. NTPC is doing the task of oxygen supply and centralised medical gas pipeline system for which work order has been issued to a Bokaro-based company.
At the Sanatorium in two phases, the 300 oxygen-supported beds will be prepared with 150 beds in each phase. Chief Minister Hemant Soren had visited the TB Sanatorium on April 23 and had directed the authorities to take necessary steps to increase the number of beds, manpower, oxygen etc at the hospital for which the Ranchi district administration is taking all the necessary steps.
