Ranchi: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate from Godda in Jharkhand and outgoing MP Nishikant Dubey has claimed that JMM or the opposition India alliance does not have any candidate against BJP candidate Sita Soren from Dumka Lok Sabha seat.
MP Nishikant made this claim while talking to media persons in Dumka on Wednesday. He said that Jharkhand Mukti Morcha (JMM) is mulling over fielding JMM leaders Stephen Marandi and Nalin Soren from this seat, but as per my knowledge, both the senior JMM leaders have refused to contest the elections.
He said that the leaders of his party are also talking about former Chief Minister Hemant Soren not contesting the elections in view of his certain defeat. He said that Kalpana Soren, wife of former Chief Minister Hemant Soren, wants to remove Champai Soren by becoming the Chief Minister. Therefore, she wants to contest elections from Gandey assembly constituency on a JMM ticket.
In such a situation, no candidate is visible from JMM on the Dumka Lok Sabha seat. In the same sequence, he claimed that if any candidate of India Alliance including JMM stands against BJP candidate Sita Soren from Dumka, their deposit will be confiscated. While discussing BJP’s election preparations in Godda Lok Sabha constituency, Nishikant Dubey said that the Indian Alliance opposition does not have any strong candidate in Godda Lok Sabha constituency.
He said that if JMM gives its candidate from Godda then we will not need to campaign. After enrolment, he will go directly to collect the certificate. Challenging the opposition, he said that if JMM gives a candidate against me from Godda Lok Sabha, then we will not need to campaign.
After filing the nomination, go straight to the election result day to collect the results. During campaigning in this election, I will be seen somewhere drinking tea or playing cricket with the people in my area.He said that I am receiving information that JMM can field a candidate from Godda.
BJP MP Nishikant said that he has defeated Congress ticket contender Pradeep Yadav several times in this constituency. MP Nishikant Dubey said that even if Pradeep Yadav from Congress contests against him from Godda region in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections, I will be very confident of my victory and perhaps I will not need to campaign here too. Because I have defeated him four times in the past. There will be no need to work hard to defeat them for the fifth time.
If any other candidate comes from Congress, then BJP workers are ready to fight with full gusto in the election field.
