Hockey India Annual Awards, Jharkhand’s Salima Tete gets the award for the best female player

Ranchi/New Delhi:  Hockey India’s sixth annual awards 2023 was organized in Delhi on Sunday. In which Salima Tete of Jharkhand was awarded the Hockey India Balbir Singh Senior Award for the best female player of the year.

Salima was given a cheque of Rs 25 lakh from Hockey India. Among men, Hardik Singh was honored as the best male player of the year. This year, a total of 32 players in eight categories were shortlisted by Hockey India for the annual awards.

Among which a total amount of Rs 7.56 crore was given. Apart from Salima Tete, Jharkhand’s Deepika Soreng was honored with the Asunta Lakra Award for Upcoming Player of the Year (Under-21 Women). Under which a check of Rs 10 lakh was given by Hockey India.
