Hoax bomb scare at Ranchi Airport

Ranchi: Authorities at the capital’s Birsa Munda airport were briefly taken aback when a phone call came threatening to blow up the airport. However, immediately after that phone call the airport management swung into action and started conducting checks inside the airport.

Apart from the security forces deployed at the airport, the help of the Anti-Bomb Squad was also taken in the investigation. After investigation, no explosive or another objectionable object was recovered from anywhere. 

During that time Union Minister Arjun Munda and Jharkhand Pradesh Congress Committee in-charge Avinash Pandey were also present at Birsa Munda airport.

In this regard, Airport Manager KL Aggarwal said that the authorities had received a call threatening to blow up the airport. After that, the entire airport was thoroughly investigated and nothing objectionable was found from anywhere.
