High Court gave instructions to consider in the appointment process for the post of physical education teacher

Ranchi: The High Court accepted the writ petition filed by JSSC regarding not considering the candidature of Purnima Kumari, Abhijeet Kumar Sinha and Ashutosh Kumar, candidates having educational qualification of BCA and BBA for the post of Physical Education Teacher, despite scoring more than the cutoff marks.

The court has directed JSSC to consider the applicant in the appointment process for the post of physical education teacher. Advocate Amritansh Vats presented the case on behalf of the applicant. During the earlier hearing, the High Court had said in its order in the case of Mukesh Ranjan and Rajdev Singh that BCA is an integral part of the science stream.

JSSC, in its Advertisement No. 21/2016 for Trained Graduate Teacher, Physical Education, had prescribed graduation with 45 marks in Science, Arts or Commerce stream for the candidates. Whereas the applicant had a BBA, BCA degree. Despite scoring more than the cutoff marks in the said examination, JSSC had canceled the candidature of the candidate at the time of document verification. Which he challenged in the High Court.
