Hemant writes to Chairman NMC to reconsider their decision of denying admission in three medical colleges

Ranchi : Regarding the decision by National Medical Council to stop fresh admission of medical students in three newly instituted Medical Colleges in Jharkhand, Chief Minister Hemant Soren has written to the Chairman, NMC urging him to reconsider the decision to safeguard the future of the deserving students .

   After the NEET declared the results the process for starting the admission for the Academic Session 2020-21 has commenced. However the national medical council has directed not to take fresh admission in the newly constructed medical colleges of the state including Dumka, Palamu and Hazaribagh over lack of infrastructure and faculty members.

   An official release issued here on Friday said that the Chief Minister in his letter has said that due to lockdown some works related to infrastructure could not be completed in the newly constructed colleges but the state government was committed to fulfill the requirements of these colleges as per the norms of the council so that hope of students of this tribal dominated state does not go in waste.
