Ranchi: The hearing on the petition filed by CM Hemant Soren against the ED summons was held in the Jharkhand High Court on Friday. During this, the advocate appearing on behalf of Hemant Soren requested to give time for debate. After which the bench of High Court Chief Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra and Justice Anand Sen fixed October 11 for the next hearing of this case.
Jharkhand High Court advocate Piyush Chitresh presented the case on behalf of the CM. Hemant Soren had taken refuge in the High Court against the summons of ED on 23 September.
The Chief Minister had filed a petition in the High Court demanding a stay on the ED action and requesting it to intervene in the matter. Besides, the powers of ED were also challenged in the petition.
Earlier, the Chief Minister had approached the Supreme Court against the ED summons.
