Ranchi: Health Secretary Nitin Madan Kulkarni has directed to undertake testing in adjoining areas of Hindpiri which is the biggest hotspot of Coronavirus in the state.
Mr Kulkarni has directed Ranchi DC Rai Mahimpet Rey to undertake community screening in areas adjoining Hindpiri including PP compound, Kadru, Upper Bazar, Konka Toli etc as there was a possibility that these areas may have asymptomatic patients of Coronavirus.
He has said that the survey should be carried out with the help of CHO, ANM, Sahiya, Anganwadi workers and trained volunteers. Mr Kulkarni has said that a sufficient number of teams should be formed and within three days the work of the survey should be completed. He said that during the survey special attention should be paid towards old people and those who have come from outside. He said that samples of all suspected patients will be taken and also asked to take proper training and briefing of the teams which would be sent to the area.
The Health Secretary has directed to once again commence community survey in Hindpiri and has suggested that as per polio micro plan team should be prepared. He said that the survey teams will be lead by medical officers and this work has to be completed in 5 days and coordination of the survey will be done by district programme manager.
Further, he also directed all the DCs to prepare containment plans for a large outbreak and said that if the number of cases increases to 15 than the area will be declared containment zone.
