Health Minister Chairs Review meeting over Covid cases: Directs special monitoring of people coming from 8 states

Ranchi: The health department is on alert mode regarding the increasing cases of corona in Jharkhand. A meeting was held under the chairmanship of Health Minister Banna Gupta through video conferencing with all the deputy commissioners and civil surgeons of the state.

During this, instructions have been given that people coming to Jharkhand from eight Corona-affected states (Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Kerala, Karnataka, Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu) should be specially monitored. After the thermal screening, if symptoms of corona are found in anyone, then they will be tested for RAT (rapid antigen test) and RT-PCR. 

Genome sequencing of samples of infected patients will also be done, so that the variant can be detected. Along with this, instructions have been given to start a corona investigation at the railway station and bus stand. At the same time, the Deputy Commissioners and Civil Surgeons of all the districts have been asked to increase the speed of investigation of corona in their respective districts. 

Health Minister Banna Gupta has instructed the Deputy Commissioner and CS of Ranchi, Jamshedpur and Deoghar to take special precautions. It has been instructed in the meeting to complete the process of license from ICMR soon to start RT-PCR labs in Ramgarh, Giridih, Latehar, Chatra, Jamtara, Saraikela- Kharsawan. On the other hand, the mock drill will be done in all the districts on Monday. 

During the mock drill, instructions have been given to activate isolation beds, oxygenated beds, ICUs, and ventilators available in the districts. Health Minister Banna Gupta said that trend people should be assessed for Covid management, ventilators and deputation in PSA plant.

Along with this, instructions have also been given to assess the need for oxygen-rich equipment, availability of Covid test kits, oxygen supply management, refilling, concentrator, medicines and telemedicine mediums.

Instructions have been given to nominate a nodal officer to monitor all these things. During the video conferencing called under the chairmanship of the Health Minister, the Superintendent of SNMCH demanded the Corona test kit.

On the other hand, the Health Minister directed the Deputy Commissioner of Dhanbad Sandeep Singh to inspect the fire fighting equipment installed in the hospitals. Additional Chief Secretary Arun Kumar Singh was also present in the meeting.
