HC directs state government to increase Coronavirus tests

Ranchi: The Jharkhand High Court has expressed its concern over the rising cases of Coronavirus in the state and has directed the state government to take immediate steps to increase the speed of testing.

A bench comprising Chief Justice Dr Ravi Ranjan and Justice SN Prasad has expressed its concern over the lackadaisical approach and delay in providing reports of the tests. The court has directed the state government to immediately commence tests facilities in such districts where it has been not started and along with that ambit of conducting the tests should be also expanded.

Advocate Dhiraj Kumar had filed a petition in this regard in which it was demanded that plasma banks should be set in all other medical colleges of the state apart from that sufficient number of technicians and necessary machines should be also provided.
