HC asked- What steps were taken to get prosecution sanction against the accused of first and second JPSC

Ranchi: A hearing was held in Jharkhand High Court on the PIL filed demanding a probe of the first and second JPSC and other examinations. During the hearing held on Thursday, the court asked the state government as to what steps have been taken by the state government on the accused officers against whom CBI had sought sanction for prosecution.

The CBI has submitted its status report in this case to the court. After which now the court fixed the next hearing of this case on 5th October. In fact, applicant Buddhadev Oraon had filed a PIL in 2008 alleging irregularities in all these examinations. After this, the High Court had put a stay on the appointment by directing a CBI inquiry into these examinations.

The government and the candidates affected by the case had taken refuge in the Supreme Court against this. From where he got relief and the High Court’s order to stop the appointment process was rejected by the Supreme Court, but the order for CBI investigation was upheld.

The investigation in this matter has been completed. The division bench of Chief Justice Sanjay Kumar Mishra and Ananda Sen is hearing the entire case.
