Guv inaugurates online admission, registration process in Jharkhand State Open University

Ranchi: Governor-cum-Chancellor of Jharkhand State Universities Ramesh Bais inaugurated the online admission, registration process in Jharkhand State Open University through https:// jharkhanduniversities.nic. in/jsou at Raj Bhawan.

The program brochure and study material were also unveiled by the Governor on the said occasion. Dr Nitin Kulkarni, Principal Secretary to Governor, Dr TN Sahu, Vice Chancellor of Jharkhand State Open University, Dr Ghanshyam Singh, Registrar, Jharkhand State Open University, admission coordinators of Jharkhand State Open University Prem Sagar Keshari and Vikas Maurya were also present on the occasion.

Expressing hope, the Governor said that more and more people can get higher education through Jharkhand State Open University. Working people living in remote rural areas can also enroll in it and complete their studies he said adding that through this university the Gross  Enrollment Ratio in higher education in the state would also increase.

University Vice Chancellor Dr TN Sahu apprised that Jharkhand State Open University is making full efforts to facilitate higher education among the people of the state. By enrolling in this university, more and more people can get higher education. Candidates can apply for admission online through the portal https:// jharkhanduniversities.nic.in/jsou.

It was apprised by Registrar Dr Ghanshyam Singh that Jharkhand State Open University will focus on education, research and training by diversity through distance and continuing education including use of new educational technology available at affordable cost to common man.

All the norms and regulations laid down by the statutory bodies like UGC, AICTE, NCTE, NCI, BCI, DEB and MCI etc. will be strictly followed in the academic programs by the University. The vision of the University is to play a positive role in the development of the State through education, research, training and capacity building, emphasis on skill based vocational add-on courses to promote employment opportunities and ensure access.
