Guv expresses concern over malnutrition, anemia & trafficking

Ranchi, Sep 6: Jharkhand Governor Draupadi Murmu has expressed his
concern over malnutrition, anemia and trafficking in the state and
demanded for active cooperation of all to solve the problems.
She said that these problems are found more among the tribals
therefore special attention needed to be accorded as the situation was
very tense. She said that the condition of nutrition in the state was
not good compared to the nation. Ms Murmu was reviewing the condition
of malnutrition in the state.
In the meeting the governor directed that in every district where the
tribals were living a survey should be done and their regular health
check up should be done. She said that the benefits of Poshan Sakhi
and Tejaswini Yojana should reach to such communities and also
directed that post of lady supervisor should also be filled up.
The meeting was also attended by the Principal Secretary of Governor
Nitin Madan Kulkarni, social welfare secretary Amitabh Kaushal and
other officials.
