Ranchi: A brave son of the state was martyred while battling the Maoists in the Bijapur district of neighbouring state of Chhattisgarh.
Assistant Commandant SB Tirkey posted in the CRPF was martyred while taking on the Maoists in Timmapur of Bijapur district. He was posted in CRPF’s 168th battalion.
Jharkhand Governor Ramesh Bais and Chief Minister Hemant Soren have expressed their grief following the death of the officer.
Governor Bais paid his tributes to the braveheart who made the supreme sacrifice for the sake of the motherland and also paid to the almighty to rest his soul in peace and give courage to the kin to overcome the burden of loss.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren through his Twitter account paid tributes to the martyr. He wrote that in Bijapur encounter a brave son of the state assistant commandant of CRPF’s 168th battalion has been martyred. He prayed to the almighty to rest his soul in peace and give strength to the family members to overcome the loss.
