Guv and CM pay tributes to Bhagwan Birsa Munda on his 122th Martyrdom anniversary

Ranchi: The 122nd Martyrdom Day of Dharti Aaba Bhagwan Birsa Munda was observed in the capital Ranchi and other areas of the state.

On this occasion, Governor Ramesh Bais, Chief Minister Hemant Soren, Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji, and others paid tribute to him at his Samadhi located near the Kokar Distillery bridge. After this, the Governor and the Chief Minister also went to Birsa Chowk where they garlanded his statue. Governor Ramesh Bais and Chief Minister Hemant Soren reached Kokar’s in the same vehicle. After this, they left for Birsa Chowk where they paid tribute to the statue of Birsa Munda.

On this occasion, the Chief Minister said that Birsa Munda is our source of inspiration. Bhagwan Birsa Munda Museum, Manan Chintan Kendra has been constructed and has now been made operational within a limited time he said adding in this, the saga of the struggle of the revolutionaries associated with the Jharkhand movement is being seen by the new generation. Earlier, while bowing to Bhagwan Birsa Munda, the Governor appealed to the people to follow the path shown by him.

During this, there was a demand to develop the Samadhi Sthal further. In this regard, Deputy Mayor Sanjeev Vijayvargiyee said that Ranchi Municipal Corporation is making continuous efforts to develop Birsa Samadhi Sthal. In this regard, Rajya sabha MP Mahua Maji also assured the people that Birsa Samadhi Sthal needs to be developed more and said that she will talk to the government about this.

On the death anniversary of Dharti Aaba, Union Minister of State for Home Ajay Kumar Mishra laid a wreath on the statue of Bhagwan Birsa Munda in Birsa Park Angara.
