Govt identifies 6,052 movement activists in latest list

Ranchi: The Department of Home, Jail, and Disaster Management has identified 6,052 activists associated with the Jharkhand state movement under the 34th consolidated list, releasing the official document recently. Following the reorganization of the Jharkhand Movement Activists Identification Commission, efforts are underway to mark the activists so that they and their dependents can receive recognition, monthly pensions, and other government benefits and facilities.

The list includes activists from 23 districts across Jharkhand. The highest numbers were recorded in Hazaribagh with 1,236 activists, Ranchi with 924, Ramgarh with 709, and Deoghar with 606. In contrast, Pakur (2), Garhwa (6), and Koderma (12) districts saw significantly fewer activists identified.

District-wise figures include Bokaro (471), Chatra (73), Deoghar (606), Dhanbad (98), Dumka (24), Jamshedpur (215), Garhwa (6), Giridih (385), Godda (47), Gumla (70), Hazaribagh (1,236), Jamtara (172), Khunti (33), Koderma (12), Latehar (64), Lohardaga (456), Pakur (2), Palamu (73), Ramgarh (709), Ranchi (924), Saraikela (161), Simdega (63), and Chaibasa (152), totaling 6,052 identified activists.
