Governor summoned Chief Secretary, Home Secretary and DGP

Ranchi:  After the ED raid on the CM residence in Delhi on Monday, the Governor has summoned the Chief Secretary, Home Secretary, DGP on Tuesday to get information on the current situation of the state including law and order and other important issues and to give directions to the officers.

After the call of the Governor, all the top officials have reached Raj Bhavan. Where the Governor is meeting with the officials. In fact, after the ED action at the CM residence in Delhi, the entire administrative staff in Jharkhand is on high alert.

During this period, no law and order problem should arise in other districts including the capital Ranchi. Special branch has issued an alert regarding this. The Special Branch had written a letter to the DCs and SPs of all the districts of Jharkhand on Monday.

In which it has been said that in protest against repeated summons and unnecessary harassment of CM Hemant Soren by ED, workers and supporters of JMM and its constituent parties staged demonstrations at party offices and various intersections in all the districts of the state. And there is information about a procession being taken out.

Due to which party offices, residences, vehicles as well as central government offices of opposition parties located in various districts of the state can be attacked and damaged. Due to which law and order problems may arise.

Amid ED action at CM residence in Delhi, Jharkhand Chief Secretary L Khyangte held a meeting with top officials of the state on Monday. The DGP and the Home Secretary were present in the meeting held at the Chief Secretary’s residence. In this meeting which lasted for about an hour, necessary instructions were given regarding law and order.

The Chief Secretary directed to keep a special eye on the capital Ranchi and Dumka. He also instructed the officers to keep an eye on the ongoing ED action in Delhi and asked them to remain alert to ensure that law and order does not get disturbed under any circumstances. 

Home Secretary Avinash Kumar and DGP Ajay Kumar Singh, present on the spot, informed the Chief Secretary about the preparations made regarding law and order. Ranchi Police has taken precautionary measures after instructions to increase security near the Chief Minister’s residence, Raj Bhavan and BJP office in the capital.
