Governor completed visit of 23 districts, emphasised on imparting education among Children

Dhanbad: Jharkhand Governor C.P. Radhakrishnan interacted with the villagers at Kamardih Panchayat Bhavan of Tundi block of Dhanbad district on Sunday. He said the aim of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is every citizen of the country should have his own house and every child of the country should be educated.

Many residential schools like Navodaya Vidyalayas have been opened by the government in the past. The Prime Minister is committed that the children of the deprived sections of the society should also get the best education and for this, a large number of Eklavya schools are being opened across the country. The maximum number of this school is going to be opened in Jharkhand. Eklavya Vidyalaya is also opened in Andi village. “ Here after enrolment, if the number of children without enrolment remains high, then another Eklavya Vidyalaya will also be opened” said governor. 

He said that the life of rural women has become easier due to free gas connections under Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. Now drinking water supply is also being done in their homes under the Nal-Jal Yojana.

He said that there would be no shortage of funds for this scheme. If the budget is less, then he will talk to the central government for this and the budget will not be allowed to fall short. He said that Khadi Silk was promoted by the Prime Minister.

Just recently, a shawl made of Tasar silk from Jharkhand was presented by him to the President of America. Surely, Tasar Silk will be promoted all over the world. India’s economy has now become the 5th largest economy in the world. In this program of public dialogue, people were informed that a large number of people from this block migrate to other provinces for employment, to stop this migration, initiative should be taken by the government to provide employment here, health.

There are also problems with facilities, many people are suffering from serious illnesses. Therefore attention should be paid to this also. Many women present there said they do not have accommodation. The Governor held talks with the Deputy Commissioner on this.

The Deputy Commissioner said that against the target of 57,000 houses under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana, 53,850 have been completed. Work is in progress for the remaining. In this regard, a survey has been conducted in the villages and the data has been compiled. Action will be taken on opening the portal for Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. Housing is also being made available under the Babasaheb Ambedkar scheme. The children said to the Governor about their studies. The Governor directed them to arrange free coaching along with scholarships for them.

The Governor said that he is happy that the people here are aware. They are aware of the schemes and they are also trying to take advantage of them. After the program, applications were also compiled from the people present there. Necessary action will be taken on this. Today, with this programme, the Governor’s visit to 23 districts has been completed. During the visit, he has seen Jharkhand very closely.
