Governor appeals students to use skills and knowledge for the development of the hospitality industry

Ranchi: Jharkhand governor C.P. Radhakrishnan urge you to use your skills and knowledge for the development of the hospitality industry in our State and the nation. The hospitality industry is a vital sector of our economy, and your contributions can make a significant difference in its growth and success.

He was speaking at the Graduation Ceremony of the Institute of Hotel Management Catering Technology &  Applied Nutrition, Ranchi. “ As you embark on your career, remember that you are not just representing yourselves, but also the Institute of Hotel Management, Ranchi and our state of Jharkhand.

You are the ambassadors of our hospitality industry, and you have a responsibility to uphold its reputation for excellence and professionalism” said Governor. He said “ Today, our country is playing an important role in the field of different categories of tourism.

From Kashmir to Kanyakumari, each region has its own uniqueness and rich cultural heritage. There are various natural features such as pleasant weather, rivers, forests, islands, mountains and plateaus etc. in our nation which attracts the tourists from abroad. Our country is also very prosperous from the point of view of religious tourism.

The success of tourism depends on the development of the hospitality industry as well as facilities but more important is the behaviour and courtesy extended to the tourists”. “Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji is playing a vital and active role in promoting the Incredible India campaign and supporting the development of tourism in the country.

The “Incredible India” campaign has been an important initiative for the development of tourism in India. This campaign is successfully promoting India as an important tourist destination due to which number of foreign tourists are increasing” said Governor. He further said “

In the G20 Presidency year, our country has hosted several meetings in over 50 cities, giving G20 delegates from many countries an opportunity to experience India’s rich diversity and cultural heritage. The theme of India’s G20 Presidency ‘Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ – the very foundation of ancient Indian heritage symbolizes ‘One Earth, One Family, One Future’. Hon’ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi Ji says that “India’s G20 Presidency will work to promote this universal sense of one-ness”.

The increasing economic prosperity of the people also plays a major role in making tourism a business in the modern era. People of different countries go to other countries of the world to see and understand closely their civilization and culture. Here, I have to remind you that “Atithi Devo Bhava” is one of the most powerful thoughts which strengthens the moral values of our nation. This spirit and vision has contributed significantly to the development of tourism and hospitality sector of the country.
