Governor and Chief Minister pay tributes to Mahatma Gandhi on his 75th death anniversary

Ranchi: Governor Ramesh Bais Chief Minister Hemant Soren paid tributes to Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi on his 75th death anniversary by offering flowers at his statue at Bapu Vatika in Morhabadi. Interacting with representatives of the press and media on the occasion Chief Minister Hemant Soren said that all should imbibe the thoughts, ideals and message of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi in our lives.

He said that the occasion is a memorable day for the country and under no circumstances should their thoughts be allowed to end On this occasion, artists of Bhajan Mandali presented Bapu’s favorite hymn ‘Vaishnav Jan to Tene Kahiye Jo Peer Parai Jaane Re’ and Ramdhun at the statue of Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi at Bapu Vatika.

Paying tribute to the Father of the Nation, Mahatma Gandhi, a two-minute silence was also observed on the occasion. On this Governor Ramesh Bais and Chief Minister Hemant Soren remembered the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi by spinning the charkha. 

On this occasion, Ranchi Mayor Asha Lakra, Rajya Sabha MP Mahua Maji, MLA CP Singh, MLA Samri Lal, South Chotanagpur Divisional Commissioner Praveen Toppo, Deputy Commissioner Ranchi Rahul Kumar Sinha, Senior Superintendent of Police Kishore Kaushal and others were present.
