Ranchi: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that the state government was working to realize the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi of providing homes to all the homeless by the year 2022.
Reviewing the functioning of the housing and the urban development department at the project building here he said under PMAY in the urban areas 49,000 homes have been built and by August another 15522 homes will be ready and for these the Griha Pravesh will be held in the month of September apart from that homes for which approval has been received for them digging up of foundation week function will be held.
Mr Das said that those who have got their homes under PMAY they would be also provided LPG connections, power and drinking water through pipelines under Saubhagya Yojana. He also directed to make Ujjwala Didi in every ward of the cities and put up street lights through EESL.
Mr Das said that by October 2 entire country has to be made ODF and the target has been achieved in Jharkhand but such homes which are being newly constructed in those also toilets should be constructed without any delay.
The Chief Minister said that the problem of drinking water has rapidly increased in the state for which there was a need to accord focus on water storage and water management and pointed that even the prime minister has appreciated the works been done for water management in the state and even on the Pragati portal he has appreciated the works in the state through the chief secretary and to encourage it further in all the municipalities water harvesting will be made mandatory.
