Government to approach SC over HC verdict on high school teachers

Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren on Wednesday said that the state government would approach the Supreme Court over the verdict of the High court in connection with the scrapping of the recruitment policy and appointment of high school teachers in scheduled districts as per the policy.

Talking to reporters outside the project building he said that over the verdict of the High Court which was come two days earlier the government has decided to go to the Supreme Court.

On the issue of the SPOs, he said that necessary instructions have been given to the officials concerned to give them service extension.

Over the meeting which he had with the SAIL chairman earlier in the day, the Chief Minister said that the company chairman had come to meet over issues related to Bokaro Steel Plant.

He said that during the meeting the government shared its side of transactions involved with the Bokaro steel plant over which more work would be done in the future. He said that renewal issues were also raised by the company.

Hemant Soren said that he also sought answers from the company officials over how they were picking up the small industrial units in the area as there were plans to set up ancillary units which have not been fully set up. The Chief Minister said that soon officials of the company will get in touch with the state government officials to take the matters further.
