Ranchi: The state government on Thursday imposed an immediate stoppage on promotion in all the government services and posts till further orders.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren after participating in a meeting with a special committee of the Vidhan Sabha constituted to look into promotion of ST and SC officials ordered to stop the promotion process till next order. An official communication in this regard has been issued by the Personnel Administrative Reforms and Rajbhasha department and necessary instructions have been issued to the department heads, divisional commissioners and DCs.
The Chief Minister earlier held a meeting with the special committee of the Vidhansabha which was formed to look into the promotion of officials and other personnel belonging to ST and SC category. During the meeting the committee handed over a proposal and report regarding promotion to be provided to the officials and staff belonging to those categories. After reviewing the matter the Chief Minister assures to take soon an appropriate decision.
