Ranchi : On the occasion of Chhath, the festival of public faith, the government has been kind to its officers and employees. On the instructions of Chief Minister Hemant Soren, instructions were given to pay the salary for the month of November on Friday. After this, the Finance Department hurriedly issued instructions to all the heads of departments, treasury and related departments at 11 am.
In the instructions issued, it was said that in view of Chhath Puja, the government should ensure payment of salaries for the month of November to all the officials and employees of Jharkhand Government, Governor’s Secretariat, Jharkhand High Court and Assembly Secretariat on November 17 only.
Following the instructions and letter issued by the Finance Department, more than 70 percent of the salaries of officers and employees were paid by 4 pm on Friday. The remaining people will also be sent their salaries by Saturday afternoon. Ranchi treasury and other treasuries of the district will remain open tomorrow so that all the payments are made.
