Government is doing politics by keeping constitutional values aside: Sudesh

Ranchi: AJSU supremo Sudesh Mahto said that Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar, the pioneer of social justice had envisioned a society where everyone gets equal rights and equal participation in policymaking.

Speaking in a function after paying his tributes on Ambedkar Jayanti he said that Baba Saheb had envisioned the social, economic, educational and political advancement of the people standing at the lowest rung of the society but the present government of the state is working contrary to the thoughts of Babasaheb.

The government is doing politics with the large population by keeping aside the constitutional values he alleged. He further said that Baba Saheb had envisioned an educated, organized and struggling society and also the progress of women but today the situation is completely opposite.

The intention of the government is also opposite to Baba Saheb’s thoughts and his imagination he said adding that the condition of the education system in the state was bad as children are being passed without giving basic education which is messing with their future. The condition of women is also not hidden from anyone as the state ranks first in terms of not giving respect to women.

He further said that Baba Saheb used to talk about social justice, but it seems from the actions of the government that they do not want to do justice to the large population. The government has also suspended the issue of SC, ST, OBC reservation by making it its political agenda.

They de-reserved thousands of posts reserved for the backward in Panchayat elections and their intention was the same regarding the municipal elections and urged the government not only to pay homage to Baba Saheb, the great man of the era but also to include his views in policy decisions.

The AJSU party celebrated the birth anniversary of Babasaheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar in the entire state. Devsharan Bhagat, Central Chief Spokesperson of AJSU Party, said that development is incomplete without including social justice and the ideals of Baba Saheb. He said that the youth will have to come forward to make his dreams come true.
