Ranchi: The much-awaited Ratu Road Elevated Corridor in Ranchi will be inaugurated on June 19 by Union Minister for Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, announced Ranchi MP and Minister of State for Defence, Sanjay Seth. After meeting with Gadkari and updating him on the project’s progress, Seth secured the minister’s agreement on the inauguration date. This corridor is expected to provide much-needed relief to city residents who have struggled with traffic congestion for over four decades.
Construction work on the corridor is nearly complete, with finishing, lighting, and beautification in the final stages. Seth emphasized that this project is not just about infrastructure but a historic step toward offering convenience and dignity to millions of Ranchi’s citizens. Preparations for the inauguration ceremony will begin soon, and the project’s completion is set to transform Ranchi’s landscape, giving residents a modern and well-organized city experience.
Stretching 3.76 kilometers, the Ratu Road Elevated Corridor is Jharkhand’s first elevated corridor. Its operation will ease traffic jams and ensure smoother vehicular movement. The reduction in traffic pressure in the Ratu Road area will save commuters valuable time and fuel. Additionally, plantation work along the service road and median below the corridor is underway, which will enhance the city’s overall beauty.
