FIR registered against Sanjeev Singh and 4 others; Jharia MLA assures full cooperation in Probe

Dhanbad, Mar 23: An Fir has been registered against five persons
including BJP’s Jharia MLA Sanjeev Singh in connection with the murder
of Congress leader and former deputy mayor of Dhanbad Neeraj Singh.
The FIR was lodge at Saraidhela Police Station by Abhishek Singh alias
Guddu Singh who is the younger brother of slain Congress leader. Apart
from Sanjeev the other people who have been also named in the FIR
included brother of Sanjeev, Siddharth Gautam alias Manish, Jainenda
Singh alias Pintu Singh, Gaya Singh and Mahant Pandey.
Sections 307,320,120 B of the IPC and 27 arms act have been registered
in the FIR. In the FIR Abhishek has stated that he was at Kolakusma
Vivah Mandap when Aditya Raj informed to say that his brother has been
shot after which he rushed to the spot where he saw Jainendra Singh
riding a two-wheeler and Sanjeev was on the back sitting with his face
covered and carrying arms. He alleged that Sanjeev said to him that
his murder has been killed and next he would be the target.
On the other hand Jharia MLA Sanjeev Singh who has been made the prime
accused in the case said that he was ready to extend full cooperation
in the case. Addressing a press conference at his residence here he
said that no matter what kind of probe the district administration
does he was ready to extend full cooperation in the case. He said that
others who have been also named in the case would also extend their
full cooperation.
Sanjeev said that he was not leaving Dhanbad and said that he became
mentally disturbed when he got to know that he and his associates have
been made the prime accused in the FIR registerd in connection of
Niraj. He said that he would reach any place where the police would
call him for questioning.
Over the issue of surrender he said that he was ready to do whatever
would be asked by the district administration. However he said that he
was yet to concern his lawyers over the issue. To another query he
said that he had not spoken with any one including the Chief Minister
over the issue.
