Mumbai- Filmmaker and choreographer Farah Khan recently made a light-hearted remark about actress Nushrratt Bharuccha, calling her “vertically challenged” during the latest episode of her vlogging show, where she visited the actress at her home.
In the episode, Nushrratt gave Farah a tour of her walk-in closet, proudly displaying her collection of footwear and handbags. Spotting several pairs of high heels, Farah pointed out that the actress even dances while wearing them. “She dances in heels because she is a little…” Farah began, before Nushrratt jokingly added, “I’m short heighted.” Farah quickly interrupted with a smile, saying, “Don’t say that. You’re vertically challenged,” sending Nushrratt into laughter.
Nushrratt went on to explain that she regularly rehearses in high heels to ensure comfort while performing. “I rehearse in high heels. I need to be really comfortable,” she said. Drawing attention to the footwear, Farah remarked, “Just look at the heels,” to which Nushrratt responded by pointing out a particularly tall pair, estimating them to be at least 6.5 inches.
The episode also highlighted Nushrratt’s culinary side, as she hosted Farah for a fun cooking session and prepared her special home-style dish, Mutton Uppu Kari. Dressed casually in a white T-shirt and denim, the actress created a warm and homely atmosphere throughout the visit.
Farah also showered praise on Nushrratt for her performance in Akelli, applauding the emotional intensity of the film. “You did a great job. You were the only girl throughout the film; it was so intense that it made my blood pressure rise,” Farah said, drawing laughter while underscoring the impact of Nushrratt’s compelling solo act.
Akelli marked a major milestone in Nushrratt Bharuccha’s career, with the actress carrying almost the entire narrative on her shoulders. Her portrayal of a woman trapped in a hostile environment earned widespread critical acclaim for its emotional depth, resilience, and realism.
Professionally, Nushrratt has established herself as a versatile performer with a wide-ranging filmography. She gained popularity with Pyaar Ka Punchnama and Pyaar Ka Punchnama 2, followed by commercial successes such as Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety and Dream Girl. More recently, she has received praise for her intense, content-driven roles in films like Chhorii and Chhorii 2, where her strong performances in the horror genre were widely appreciated.
