Ramgarh: A wild tusker created havoc in Mohanbeda village under Gola Forest area of this district sending the people running for cover for their lives.
Villagers said that a wild elephant which had got separated from his group entered into the village and broke the house of one Birendra Kumar Bediya. In the incident, the house was completely damaged however the occupants somehow managed to run away and save their lives.
After destroying the house the elephant also destroyed the crops in the nearby fields. The family has demanded compensation from the forest department. Other villagers were in a state of panic as the elephant was camping close to the village.
