Efforts on to remove poverty from Jharkhand by 2022: Raghubar

Gumla, Jan 9: Jharkhand Chief Minister Raghubar Das said that all efforts are being made so that the state can get rid of poverty by the year 2022.

Addressing the people after inspecting the poultry work being carried out in Silam village of Raidih block of this district by ‘Gumla Grameen Poultry Sahkari Samiti Limited’ he said that people should take inspiration from Sarita Devi who with a small thought started the poultry business and took pledge to remove poverty from the village. He said that it was due to her efforts that many women in the village have joined the poultry business and are earning additional income of Rs 4,000 to Rs 5,000 per month. On the occasion he also inspected the fodder production center.

The Chief Minister asked the women that apart from poultry they should also focus on egg production. He said that the state government was providing Rs 4 lakh to women self help groups to undertake poultry and Rs 80,000 to build the shed. He said that the egg produced would be purchased by the state government and be used for mid day meal which would also help to remove malnutrition.
