Ranchi: ED will continue the interrogation of Bhanu Pratap, revenue employee of Badagain zone, for the next five days. The court has given permission for this. After the remand period of four days was over, he was presented before the special court of Ranchi PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act) on Friday.
During his appearance on Friday, ED once again requested the court to extend Bhanu’s remand for interrogation by 7 days. Which was opposed by Bhanu’s lawyer. After hearing the arguments of ED’s Special Public Prosecutor Shiv Kumar, the court has given permission to ED to interrogate Bhanu Pratap Prasad for four days.
ED’s investigation so far has revealed that Bhanu Pratap has helped Hemant Soren in illegally acquiring property including 8.5 acres of land in Bariyatu. There may be many more important revelations in the interrogation.
