ED court refuses to grant bail to Sahebganj mining trader Krishna Saha

Ranchi: The Special Court of Ranchi PMLA (Prevention of Money Laundering Act) has given its verdict on the bail plea of Sahebganj’s mining trader Krishna Saha, aide of Chief Minister’s MLA representative Pankaj Mishra.

The court refused to grant bail to Krishna Saha and rejected his bail application.

After hearing the arguments from both the sides, the court had reserved its decision on August 10.

Special Public Prosecutor Atish Kumar argued on behalf of the ED.

Advocate Nadeemuddin argued on behalf of Krishna Saha.

The ED arrested Krishna Saha, a stone trader from Sahebganj, on June 6, in a case related to illegal mining worth Rs 1000 crore. Since then he is in judicial custody.
