Ranchi: The nomination process for the Dumri assembly by-election started from Thursday.
On August 8, the Election Commission issued a notification regarding the by-election.
According to the issued notification, the nomination papers will be submitted by August 17.
Scrutiny of nomination papers will be done on August 18.
And the names can be withdrawn till August 21.
The Dumri assembly seat is vacant after the death of Education Minister Jagarnath Mahto on April 6 this year.
Voting on this vacant seat is to be held on September 5.
The counting of votes will be done on September 8.
