Doors of Baba Baidyanath Dham temple opened for devotees

Deoghar: On Thursday morning the doors of Baidyanath Dham Temple which is among the 12 Jyotirlingas in the country was opened for the devotees for darshan.

From 6 am to 10 am devotees managed to pay their obeisance to Baba Baidyanath. As per the instructions by maintaining social distancing the people were allowed inside the temple during which use of masks and sanitization was properly followed. However, as not many people were aware regarding the opening of the temple therefore only a few people had turned up.

As per the information provided by the district administration, the people were made to enter the temple from the gates near the temple office. The administration had made plans to make the people enter the temple through the footbridge if the crowds would have been more.

At the present, by showing their Aadhar cards the devotees were allowed inside the temple as the process of issuing online pass would commence in 2-3 days.

Earlier on Wednesday the Home Prison and Disaster Management Department had sent a letter in this regard to the district administration of Deoghar.

In the letter, it was said that only the people of Jharkhand would be allowed inside the temple and in an hour a maximum of 50 devotees would be allowed while in a day the facility for offering darshan would be available for a maximum of four hours.

In the order, it was further said that to enable entry of devotees inside the temple online pass should be issued and while entry inside the temple social distancing should be adequately maintained. Further masks have been made mandatory for the devotees. In the order, the administration has been instructed to undertake sanitization of the temple premises at regular intervals.
