Ranchi: Jharkhand Mukti Morcha supremo and Rajya Sabha MP Shibu Soren along with his wife Rupi Soren have tested positive for Coronavirus.
Chief Minister Hemant Soren shared the news in this regard through his Twitter handle on Saturday. Hemant said that on Friday Night Baba Dishom Guru and Maa have tested positive for Coronavirus.
“Both of them are in home isolation and are undergoing treatment. With the good wishes of the country and people of Jharkhand soon they would be back among us,” he tweeted.
Earlier many staff at the residence of Shibu Soren had tested positive for Coronavirus and soon Guruji also fell ill. On Friday he underwent Corona test in which he along with his wife tested positive.
On the other hand, the Chief Minister himself and his cabinet colleagues are in home quarantine since Tuesday night.
All of them had attended the cabinet meeting in which Health Minister Banna Gupta was also present who on the night of August 18 was declared positive for Coronavirus.
In a day or two the Chief Minister for the third occasion would undergo Coronavirus tests. The first time he had taken the tests when he had come in contact with Drinking Water Minister Mithlesh Thakur and JMM MLA Mathura Prasad Mahto both of whom had tested positive for Covid-19 and on the second occasion his tests were held when a large number of staff at the CMO including driver and security personnel had tested positive for Coronavirus. Luckily on both the occasion, he remained away from the infection.
