Ranchi: Chief Minister Hemant Soren while addressing the second convocation ceremony of the Indian Institute of Information Technology (Triple IT) Ranchi said that the state government plans to establish a digital skill university in Jharkhand.
Speaking at the function he said that it is a day of happiness not only for those students who are getting better education from this institution but also for the entire state, because on the occasion of the convocation ceremony organized in this auditorium of JTU Namkum, President Draupadi Murmu is present among us all.
He said that Jharkhand is such a state where many activities have been taking place for more than 100 years ago. Jharkhand has a distinct identity, especially regarding mineral wealth. Jharkhand has always had immense possibilities of industry he said adding that the state has a long history of industrial expansion as Big industries are engaged in this state. Various industrial organizations including HEC, Bokaro Steel, Tata Steel, Birla Aluminum Industry, Coal India have their activities in the state. This is the reason why there is a large-scale movement of people from outside.
The people of other states formed a relationship with this state. In this sequence, education also expanded in Jharkhand he said adding that moving forward in the field of education, many well-known educational institutions were established in Jharkhand. Various educational institutions including IIM, BIT Mesra, BIT Sindri, XISS, NIT have been established in the state, in this chain the Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) is also connected.
Hemant Soren said that the boys and girls of Jharkhand have made a distinct identity in the country in the field of education as well. Students of Jharkhand have brought laurels to the state even in UPSC examinations. Chief Minister said that the present time is the time of technology today many companies are pushing for unmanned production.
At present, machine-operated industries are being set up. Mobiles, vehicles, paper-pen all things are now being made by machines. Industries were earlier run by labourers and today is the era of competition in every field. Arrangements are being made on the basis of competition.
He said that all the medal winners and degree recipients have got a better education from the Indian Institute of Information Technology (Triple IT), Ranchi. I am sure that the education you get from this institute will prove to be a milestone in your career in the times to come.
The Chief Minister said that although the state government is doing much work regarding capacity development, in this connection there is a proposal to set up a Digital Skill University in the state. With the commencement of the Digital Skill University, the less-educated young men and women will be able to be linked with employment by making them technically proficient he said.
