Diana Penty perfectly captures the ‘Mumbaikar’ mood as city temperatures dip to 18°C

Mumbai: Actress Diana Penty added a humorous spin to Mumbai’s brief brush with winter by sharing a relatable post that summed up how locals react when the temperature drops.

Taking to social media, Diana posted a video of herself wrapped in chic winter wear, poking fun at the excitement Mumbaikars feel during the city’s short-lived cold spell. She captioned the clip, “Every Mumbaikar the moment the temperature drops to 18 degrees,” instantly striking a chord with her followers.

Referring to Mumbai’s fleeting winter, the actress added, “The 10-day winter we wait all year for,” with the song Alive Again by Alone in My Room playing in the background.

Diana began her career as a model in 2005 and made her acting debut with the 2012 romantic comedy Cocktail. After a brief hiatus, she returned to the screen as a runaway bride in Happy Bhag Jayegi, which went on to become a sleeper hit. She later appeared as an army officer in Parmanu: The Story of Pokhran, a volunteer in Shiddat, and played the female lead in the streaming film Bloody Daddy.

She was also seen in Detective Sherdil, starring Diljit Dosanjh, alongside Boman Irani, Ratna Pathak Shah, Chunky Panday and Banita Sandhu. The film follows the investigation into the mysterious murder of an Indian-origin telecom tycoon in Budapest.

Expanding her presence in the OTT space, Diana featured in the series Do You Wanna Partner, co-starring Tamannaah Bhatia. The show explores themes of female entrepreneurship, friendship and ambition, as it follows two friends who launch a craft beer business in urban India while navigating social and professional challenges.
