DGP honoured police women band of JAP -10

Ranchi:  DGP Ajay Kumar Singh honoured the police women band of JAP – 10 in a program organized at Jharkhand Police Headquarters on Monday. The process of formation of the Jharkhand JAP – 10 Mahila Band took place on 3 August 2010. But from the year 2006, continuous efforts were started regarding its formation. 

The appointment of JAP – 10 Mahila Vahini Band was done in two phases. The first appointment in the year 2010 and the second appointment was in the year 2017. The women’s band has brought laurels to the Jharkhand Police as well as the state on the national stage.

In JAP – 10 women band, one sub-inspector (literate), 6 constables and 34 women band constables are commanding. The 23rd All India Police Band Competition 2022-23 was organized from 28 February to 4 March in Panchkula Haryana under the aegis of ITBP. In which JAP – 10 women’s band brought laurels to the Jharkhand Police force and the state by securing the highest rank in the pipe band category in the whole country.

The Mahila Band was also honoured by the Governor of Punjab on this occasion. JAP – 10 Women’s Band has been continuously registering its presence in Independence Day Celebrations, Republic Day Celebration Parade, Governor’s House and many other state functions of Jharkhand State.

Jharkhand Armed Police 10 Mahila Band has conducted band training programs in many school children, girl’s schools as well.
