Ranchi: DGP Neeraj Sinha on Monday chaired a high-level meeting at the state Police headquarters during which he reviewed the law and order situation and action being taken to tackle left-wing extremism. In the meeting which was held via video conferencing, he had a detailed discussion over problems being faced in the district over maintaining of law and order and continuing with anti-insurgency operations.
The DGP reviewed the operations in wake PLGA week being celebrated by the Maoists, attachment of movable and immovable assets of the ultras, awards declared on absconding Maoists, progress in solving the cases of mob lynching, cases which have been pending for the last 3,5, and 10 years and cases related to SC/ST Atrocities Act. In the meeting, the DGP directed the police officials to stop any kind of illegal trade in their area and take necessary action against the people involved in it.
He also gave necessary instructions in wake of welfare works being done by the state police. In the meeting, the IGs and DIGs of Palamu, Ranchi, Kolhan, Hazaribagh, Bokaro and Dumka regions shared details regarding the action taken over crime control and checking LWE activities. The DGP later gave further instructions to the police officials.
