Development of society is possible only with the development of women – Shilpi Neha Tirkey

Ranchi: Mandar MLA Shilpi Neha Tirkey said that the development of society is possible only with the development of women as they are not less than anyone in any field.

Addressing a program organized by the Rural Development Department at Bedo Block Bhawan on the occasion of International Women’s Day-2023 she said that the dream of an advanced society can never be realized without the advancement of women. We especially remember International Women’s Day on 08 March because this day is special for women but we need to keep striving for the better.

She said that there is a need to make women aware to take advantage of the schemes being run by the government as many efforts have been made for the betterment of women. She said that they have got reservations in many places and legally also many rights have been given to women. So if necessary, they should take advantage of their rights. 

Appreciating the schemes being run under mnrega said that the schemes have paved the way for employment and self-reliance to women who are becoming the support of their families by working in schemes like Didi Bagiya Yojana or by taking advantage of Cow Shed Construction Scheme which is instilling new confidence in them and helping them to be financially independent.

She said that women are working shoulder to shoulder with men and are improving the economic condition of their families. Today thousands of such women at the village level have taken a step towards improving their future, this is a unique example of women empowerment she said.

Mnrega Commissioner Rajeshwari B said that without changing oneself the achievement of the target cannot be achieved at any cost as change is possible only by changing yourself. She said that it is a matter of great pleasure for the department that women mates and beneficiaries were felicitated in this International Women’s Day cum Honor Ceremony organized under Mnrega. 

The government thinks that the means of livelihood of women should be increased and for that job cards have been given to more than 50 lakh families in the entire state, out of which more than 21 lakh women are registered which is a matter of happiness.

She said that more work is also being done to increase the participation of women who are becoming self-reliant by joining the state government’s ambitious Didi Bari Yojana, Birsa Harit Gram Yojana. While appreciating the work of the Zonal Officer of the Block Development Officer she gave detailed information about the various schemes being run under Mnrega.

She visited the newly constructed Anganwadi center located at Bhasnanda of Hariharpur Jamtoli and congratulated the staff after seeing the quality. She also went to Pandra village and inspected the progress of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana there. A book related to Birsa Harit Gram Yojana was also released in the programme.

On this occasion employment worker, female mate, laborer, health worker, Sahiya, female mate, and many other women were honored with certificates and shawls by the dignitaries.
