Despite not being in power BJP is still in the hearts of people of Jharkhand: Nadda

Ranchi: BJP’s national president JP Nadda said that occupying power was all about mathematics but the party despite being defeated in the Vidhan Sabha elections is still in the hearts of the people.

Addressing the working committee meet of the Jharkhand BJP via video conferencing from New Delhi he said leaders of BJP have come into politics not to capture power or chair but want to change the fortunes and future of the country.

He said that amid the Coronavirus crisis when all the parties have become defunct BJP has always remained active. He said that in the battle against Coronavirus many countries were confused about whether they needed to save the lives of their people or the economy but Prime Minister Narendra Modi worked for both and timely ensured the lockdown in the country.

Nadda said that when the lockdown was imposed the testing capacity in the country was just 1,500 which has now increased to 11 lakh per day, moreover, the number of testing labs has also increased from 150 to 1600. Further, he said that now 3 lakh ventilators and 4.5 lakh PPE kits are being manufactured every day in the country which was a reflection of strength of India. He said that the Prime Minister announced a Garib Kalyan Package for 80 crore people from March to November, in the bank accounts of 8.54 crore farmers Rs 2000 has been sent and during the lockdown in bank accounts of 30 crore women on three occasions a sum of Rs 500 was given.

The national party president said that the Modi has brought changes in the new education policy and has made such a policy in which even the poor can get an education, moreover this education policy catered to Bharat and not India. He asked the leaders of the state unit to organise workshops over the new education policy.

He said that BJP was not in power in Jharkhand but previously it has taken many steps for the welfare of the people due to which it was in the heart of the masses. He said that in any state where law and order become a problem development is hampered. Under the previous BJP government, Maoists had been almost wiped out from state but once again they are raising their heads and all development activities have taken a back seat in Jharkhand. He said that Hemant Government had become free from development and equipped with corruption.
