Ranchi: Deputy Commissioner Chhavi Ranjan on Friday held a review meeting of the Agriculture, Animal Husbandry, Fisheries, Land Conservation and Horticulture Department. District Agriculture Officer, Ranchi Vikas Kumar, District Animal Husbandry Officer, District Fisheries Officer, District Land Conservation Officer, District Co-operative Officer, LDM Ranchi, and representatives of various nationalized banks were present at the meeting.
During the meeting, he gave necessary directions while reviewing the achievements of the financial year 2021-22 and the work plans for 2022- 23. He said that the scale of finance should be fixed so that farmers can get more credit and they can increase the work of production. The Deputy Commissioner said that in case the scale of finance is fixed less, the farmers are compelled to go to the moneylenders and have to pay a higher rate of interest.
While discussing the status of the Kisan Credit Card (KCC), the Deputy Commissioner expressed displeasure over the slow pace. He asked the representatives of the banks to pay attention to the KCC work. While directing the acceptance of a maximum number of applications, the Deputy Commissioner said that special care should be taken so that the applications should not be pending and the farmers should not face any problems.
While reviewing the distribution of seeds during the meeting he also directed for timely distribution of seeds among the farmers.
