DC chairs review meeting of schemes related to welfare department

Ranchi: A review meeting of schemes related to the welfare department was organized under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Ranchi Rahul Kumar Sinha. Project Director, ITDA, District Welfare Officer, District Education Officer, District Education Superintendent, various Block Welfare Officers and other concerned officials were present in the meeting held in the Deputy Commissioner’s auditorium located at Collectorate Block A.

In the meeting, Deputy Commissioner reviewed various schemes run by the Welfare Department in detail. While reviewing the Chief Minister’s Employment Generation Scheme he said that a target of Rs 5 crore has been set under this scheme, the Deputy Commissioner has been directed to ensure the benefits of the scheme by identifying eligible applicants in every block. 

In order to review the Chief Minister’s Employment Generation Scheme, the Deputy Commissioner has been directed to provide the benefits of the scheme to the eligible applicants by field verification of new applications received. He said that giving information about vehicle loans under the scheme, applications should be received from all the blocks.

Pre Matric (Primary/ Middle High School), Post Matric, Minority Scholarship Scheme, Chief Minister Health Assistance Scheme (Medical Grant), Prevention of Atrocities Act 1989, Legal Aid Scheme, Chief Minister Livestock Development Scheme, Forest Rights Act 2006, Birsa Housing Scheme by Deputy Commissioner , PVTG Gram Utthan Yojana, Dhumkadia Building Construction Scheme, Siege of Minorities Cemetery, Siege of Sarna, Masna, Hadgadi etc., Repair and Renovation of Welfare Departmental Residential Schools/Hostels, Welfare Departmental ST, BC and MIN Hostels (Except Residential Schools) Repairs and renovations, under Special Central Assistance (Special Central Assistance to Tribal Sub Plan) scheme, Pradhan Mantri Jan Vikas Karyakram etc were also reviewed in detail. While reviewing various scholarship schemes, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned officer to ensure the benefits of the scheme to the students under the new scholarship rules.

While reviewing the Mukhyamantri Swasthya Sahayata Yojana (Medical Grant), the Deputy Commissioner directed to ensure the benefits of the scheme to the needy people. He asked the Block Welfare Officer to make the applications available to the people in the Gram Sabha.

During the meeting, he directed to ensure distribution among the selected beneficiaries under the Chief Minister’s Livestock Development Scheme. He said that after verifying the approved list of beneficiaries in which the shed is to be constructed, animals should be distributed.

While reviewing the cases related to the prevention of atrocities, the Deputy Commissioner directed to pay the amount at every stage. The Deputy Commissioner directed the Executive Engineer NREP-1 and 2, District Engineer Zilla Parishad Ranchi, and Executive Engineer Bhawan Division, Ranchi to issue show cause for being absent in the meeting without assigning any reason. During the meeting, while reviewing other schemes, necessary directions were given by the Deputy Commissioner to the concerned officials.
