Ranchi: A meeting of the Road Safety Committee was organized under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Ranchi Chhavi Ranjan at the collectorate here in which concerned officials of all departments including the District Transport Officer were present.
In the meeting, the compliance of the agenda presented by the District Transport Officer Praveen Prakash was reviewed by the Deputy Commissioner and necessary directions were given to the concerned officials.
In the meeting of the Road Safety Committee, the accident data was presented and the suggestion to reduce the accident was reviewed, accordingly, compliance was directed after review.
Apart from this the District Transport Officer Ranchi was apprised about the entire process of getting compensation to the families of the injured/ dead persons in the hit and run case. Along with this, a request was made to make
public representatives and members aware to make the general public aware of such matters.
NHAI was instructed by Deputy Commissioner Ranchi that all the illegal cuts in front of the petrol pump of Ranchi should be given notice by NHAI. RCD was instructed to make speed breakers near ESIC Namkum in 15 days. The District Transport Officer, Ranchi was asked to work on Black Spot.
In the meeting, the traffic DSP talked about counseling those who break the traffic rules by setting a time. On the problem of traffic jam at Kantatoli Chowk, instructions were given to widening the road and the officials of the Municipal Corporation were instructed to remove the illegal shops.
Also, the District Transport Officer said about counseling of drivers of heavy vehicles. Executive Engineer of NHAI, Motor Inspector Ranchi, Health Department personnel and others were present in the meeting.
