CTET and TET pass candidates from other states to be able to participate in the assistant teacher appointment process – Jharkhand HC

Ranchi:  Jharkhand High Court, while hearing a case, has said that TET pass candidates of CTET pass candidates from other states can also participate in the ongoing process for the appointment of 26000 assistant teachers (Acharyas) in the state.

With this direction, the court on Wednesday executed the petition filed for conducting JET exam in the state and demanding inclusion of CTET in the eligibility list.

A petition in this regard has been filed by the Jharkhand CTET Answer Candidates Association.

It has been said in the petition that the state government has not conducted the JET exam since 2016.

Now the recruitment process of about 26000 teachers has started with the mandatory requirement of JET.

In such a situation, there are lakhs of candidates who will not be able to participate in this process.

On the other hand, the candidates who have not given the JTT exam have alternatively taken the help of CTET, which is conducted by the center.

But even CTET has not been given recognition in this appointment process.

The applicant has demanded that either the examination should be organized or the process should be started along with giving recognition to CTET.
