Criminals set fire to the mixer machine used in road construction work in Chatra

Chatra: In Tunku Hosil village located on Pratappur-Jori main road of Vashishthanagar Jori police station area, criminals set fire to the mixer machine used in PPC road construction work late on Sunday night. 

Due to non-payment of extortion money, the criminals locked the workers in a room at the construction company’s plant and committed arson. Not only this, the two criminals also warned of dire consequences if the ransom was not paid.

The mixer machine has been partially damaged due to the fire. On receiving information about the incident, the police reached the spot and are busy investigating the matter. Under the DMFT scheme, the construction work of PCC road was going on at a cost of Rs 45 lakh.
