CPI (Maoist) Called 24 Hours Bandh in Five States against killing of their leaders by the Police

Ranchi: Communist Party of India (Maoist) on Monday Called 24 Hour Bandh in Five States including Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal, Odisha and Chhattisgarh against the killing of their leaders by feeding intoxicants and Comrades by Drone Bombarding by Police in Jharkhand and Chhattisgarh, Sanket, a spokesperson of eastern regional bureau of CPI (Maoist) issued a press release.

Several buses at Birsa Munda Bus Depot at Khadgada in Ranchi on Monday cancelled their travel due to Bandh.

Hatia – Jharsuguda passenger express 18175 has been cancelled due to a bandh called by CPI (Maoist).

Jharkhand Police from Sunday evening conducted long-range patrolling (LRP) in Maoist-affected districts including Latehar, Chatra, Lohardaga, Chaibasa, Khunti, Palamu, and Garhwa.

Jawans have been instructed by the SP of respective districts to be vigilant and intensify patrolling in sensitive areas to stop casualties during the bandh.

Intelligence Bureau on Sunday evening received information that Maoist ultras can plant a conspiracy that has been hatched to attack Police Forces during the bandh.

The special Intelligence Bureau (SIB) of the Special Branch on Monday instructed all SPs of the districts to exercise special vigilance in the affected areas.
